The chole ki dal is very beneficial to health.Hence, it is recommended to include chole ki dal in our diet.
The ingredients of chole ki dal are:
INGREDIENTS
- Split black gram (urad dal), raw - 20 gms
- Bengal gram (chana dal), raw - 10 gms
- Onion, chopped - 1/2 medium
- Tomato, chopped - ½ medium
- Ginger, chopped - ½ inch piece
- Garlic cloves, chopped - 2
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - 1/2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1/2 tsp
DIRECTIONS
- Soak both the dals (urad & chana) in water for 30 mins-1 hour.
- Drain and pressure-cook, on low heat, both the grams in 1½ cups of water with salt and turmeric powder till the pressure is released two times (two whistles).
- Heat the oil in a pan.Now, Add the onion, ginger, garlic and asafoetida and saute till golden.
- Add the tomato and saute till it turns pulpy. Add the red chilli powder and saute.
- Now, Add the cooked grams and mix.
- Add ½ cup of water, adjust the salt and simmer for half an hour or till completely soft.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
