Cholesterol is a necessary evil. It is a fat-like, waxy substance mainly produced in the liver but can also get from animal and milk products in the diet. However, The most prominent health condition in families is high amount of and it is all over the world. Hence, Normally it is not deadly but when it comes to high amount it can lead to serious health issues and sometimes it becomes deadly as well.
TYPES
Now talking about the types of cholesterol, there are two types of cholesterol. The first one is Low-Density Lipoproteins (LDL) and the second one is High Density Lipoproteins (HDL). LDL is also known as the "bad" cholesterol as it causes various health issues, builds up and clots bloodstream in the walls of your arteries which can lead to heart attacks and improper blood pumping. HDL , or the "good" cholesterol, removes LDL to the liver where it is metabolized.
In the United States, high cholesterol has become a problem for over one hundred million people. It would not be that hard for all of those people to lower their cholesterol if they would just learn a little bit about all the macromolecules including the category under which cholesterol falls. Macromolecules are essential to life but may also be the cause of an untimely death.
Too much fat in the body that comes from it can lead to being overweight. There is a large set of differences between HDL and LDL.The fact is that we humans need some cholesterol to help our skin, brain and other organs to grow and perform their functions properly. But eating too much fat and gaining cholesterol is a bad idea and always will be a bad idea, especially for those people whose bodies already make too much cholesterol and are fat. It is again proved that excess of everything is bad, therefore a limited amount of cholesterol cannot harm our body as such but high cholesterol can be deadly and can lead to improper functioning of organs and heart which causes risk of heart attack etc. Therefore stay healthy be healthy eat healthy.
