The dal palak is very beneficial to health.Hence, it is recommended to include dal palak in our diet.
The ingredients of dal palak are:
INGREDIENTS
- Spinach finely chopped- 1 cup
- Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal)- 3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Asafoetida- a pinch
- Oil - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1/4th tsp
- Garlic chopped- 1/2 clove
- Ginger chopped- 1 tsp
- Green chili seeded and chopped- 1/2
- Onion chopped- 1/4 small
- Salt- as per taste
- Lemon juice- 1/4 tsp
DIRECTIONS
- Cook moong dal with turmeric powder and asafoetida till soft. Heat oil (or ghee) in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, green chili and sauté for one minute. NowAdd onion and continue to sauté till onion gets lightly browned.
- Add spinach and sauté for half a minute and Add the remaining turmeric powder and stir. Add dal and mix well.
Also, Add one cup water and salt and stir. Add lemon juice, mix and serve hot.
