Diabetes:
The world is full of sweet and tasty food full of carbohydrates, but also the world is full of Diabetic patients. Basically, Individuals suffering from diabetes have hyperglycemia because there is the low production of insulin or even their body cells do not use the produced insulin. According to a report, About 350 million people suffer from this condition globally and are increasing day by day. The Biggest health organization, The World Health Organization (1999) has predicted that this condition will rise to the top seventh cause of death worldwide by 2030. We believe on this prediction or not but it is proving itself.
TYPES
There are three types of this condition which include Type-1, Type-2, and Gestational.
Type-1
Type-1 patients do not have insulin produced in their bodies and have to lean on external sources to get the sufficient amount. It includes insulin tablets, injections, pills etc. About 10% of all diabetic patients have Type-1 diabetes. Patients having Type-1 have to take regular insulin injections throughout their lives to keep their blood sugar level in control. If not taken, then it can cause various serious problems.
Type-2
Type-2 diabetes, as opposed to its Type-1counterpart, is more common. Almost 90% of all diabetic people have Type-2, in which their bodies do not produce sufficient insulin to keep their sugar levels in control. While not dependent on injections for the rest of their lives, patients with Type-2 have to take medicines. Type-2 is highly common in overweight persons and people over 30 years of age. Improper diet and lack of exercise also cause of this condition. A healthy and regulated diet is also compulsory in order to keep insulin levels high.
Now the next and the last type of this condition is the Gestational Diabetes, as the name itself indicates, it is found in pregnant women. Studies have revealed that women those who consume fat in their diets have a higher risk of being diagnosed with gestational during pregnancy than women who eat vegetarian foods. It has the possibility of complicating childbirth.
This condition may also lead to cardiac problems, issues with hearing, sight, gum diseases, infections, and erectile dysfunction. So everyone should keep a check on what we are eating, how we are eating to stay away and healthy from such annoying diseases.
