OPEN CARROT SANDWICH

The open carrot sandwich is very beneficial to health.Hence, it is recommended to include open carrot sandwich in our diet.

The ingredients of open carrot sandwich are:

INGREDIENTS

  • Multi grain bread 2 slices
  • Low fat paneer 10gms
  • Grated cucumber 20 gms
  • Grated carrot 20 gms
  • Green chilies  1 finely chopped
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 2 tsp.
  • White pepper pwd ¼ tsp.
  • Lemon juice ¼ tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil ½ tsp.

DIRECTIONS

  • Squeeze the carrot & cucumber & drain out the excess water. Combine all the ingredients including the carrots, cucumber,lemon juice in a bowl & mix well.
  • Divide the topping in two equal parts & keep it aside.
  • Apply a little oil on both the sides of bread slice, place each slice on flat surface with brushed side facing downwards & spread a portion of the topping evenly over it.
  • Place each open sandwich on a non stick tava with the topping facing downwards & cook, using ¼ tsp oil, till the topping turns golden brown in colour.
  • Turn over & cook till the other side turns golden brown in colour.
  • Cut each bread sandwich into 2 equal portions diagonally, grate paneer on top & serve immediately.
